Needling and serum guide

Microneedling, serum finishes and ampoule upgrades

Microneedling uses controlled micro-channels in the skin. It can be offered as a classic skin-quality treatment or paired with selected serum and ampoule options where suitability supports it.

How to compare the routes

The treatment can be kept simple or upgraded with a product finish. The key is matching the depth, device plan and aftercare to the skin on the day.

Classic microneedling

A controlled needling route for cosmetic skin-quality support, usually followed by calming hydration and aftercare guidance.

Ampoule upgrades

Selected formulas may include HA, PDRN-style, collagen, copper peptide, NAD or exosome-style ingredient families.

PRP / PRF pairing

PRP / PRF microneedling is a separate own-blood route, with blood preparation and additional governance steps.

What to expect

The skin is cleansed, prepared and treated with controlled passes over the selected area. The skin may look red, warm, tight or flushed afterwards. Mild swelling, dryness, pinpoint marks, sensitivity or light flaking can happen as the skin settles.

Aftercare usually focuses on keeping the skin clean, avoiding active products for a short period, using sun protection and avoiding heat, heavy exercise or makeup until advised.

Not the same as injectables

Microneedling works across the skin surface and superficial layers. Skin boosters, PRP / PRF injections, peptide mesotherapy and filler routes involve different placement, risk, consent and aftercare discussions.

Suitability checks

Microneedling may be delayed where there is active infection, inflamed skin, open wounds, certain medication or medical history concerns, recent active treatments, pregnancy or breastfeeding, keloid tendency or a skin condition needing medical review.

Results and courses

Skin may feel fresher once redness settles, but texture and skin-quality goals are usually reviewed gradually. Some clients plan a course rather than expecting one appointment to do everything.

Microneedling is not advertised as a cure for acne scarring, pigmentation, hair loss, stretch marks or a medical skin condition. Red flags are signposted rather than treated cosmetically.
